I’m a partner at Placeholder, a venture capital firm based in New York, where I work to decentralize wealth and power by using crypto to redesign capitalism for the Information Age. I started the firm with my friend Chris Burniske and mentor Brad Burnham in 2017 after ~3 years at Union Square Ventures developing the firm's early blockchain thesis and portfolio. Prior to that I set up a government office in the Dominican Republic (where I’m from) with a mandate to develop the national startup agenda. There, in 2013, I fell down the crypto-rabbit-hole while searching for technology solutions to governance problems. Written work:
