I'm a partner at Placeholder, a crypto venture capital firm based in New York City with over $150 million in capital under management. I started the firm with my close friends Chris Burniske and Brad Burnham in the summer of 2017 after working ~3 years at Union Square Ventures developing the firm's early blockchain investment thesis and investment portfolio. Prior to that I set up the government office in the Dominican Republic (where I’m from) in charge of developing the national startup agenda. There, in 2013, I fell down the crypto-rabbithole while researching alternative payment infrastructure technologies we could use across Latin America, and since then it has occupied nearly all my mental space. I work to decentralize data, wealth and power by using cryptonetworks to restructure capitalism for the Information Age.
